Vehicle Description
This 2016 Lexus GS 350 is exactly what we think a luxury sport sedan should be. Finished in the coveted pearl white exterior over the unbelievably classy Chateau light cream leather interior with black accents, this is one of our favorite Lexus color combinations by far. Lexus absolutely nailed this interior because you get the bright, upscale feel of the lighter Chateau leather while still getting black carpets, black lower door panels, and darker lower trim pieces that keep the cabin looking dramatically cleaner long term and avoid the staining that usually scares people away from lighter interiors. This GS has been West Coast owned and spent its entire life in Newport Beach, California with no accidents, and knowing it was originally sold and maintained in Newport Beach gives added confidence. Lexus Newport Beach is one of the nicest Lexus dealerships in the country and service history from a dealership of that caliber is exactly what we love seeing. Loaded with heated and cooled front seats, heated leather steering wheel with gray wood trim, navigation, intuitive park assist, power trunk, rear lip spoiler, blind spot monitor, backup camera, Bluetooth, moonroof, and legendary Lexus reliability, this GS 350 is one of the nicest luxury sedans we have had in a while.
The GS 350 has always been one of those vehicles that flew under the radar because it gives you something very few manufacturers ever figured out. It gives you luxury and long-term reliability in the same package. Toyota products are phenomenal, but they can feel louder and more economy-focused inside. The GS gives you that bulletproof Toyota engineering underneath while wrapping everything in dramatically better insulation, better materials, quieter cabin tuning, more premium seating, and an overall luxury driving experience that feels worlds apart.
And then there is the engine. The 3.5 liter naturally aspirated V6 is one of the most respected engines Lexus and Toyota have ever built. This powertrain has built an incredible reputation for smoothness, longevity, refinement, and consistency. It produces strong power while still remaining incredibly reliable long term. No tiny turbo motor working overtime. No unnecessary complexity. Just smooth power delivery, proven engineering, and the type of engine people specifically seek out years later because they know what they are getting.
The standard GS 350 equipment in 2016 was already impressive and this is why these age so well. You get Lexus drive mode select, premium leather interior, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, premium cabin insulation, advanced suspension tuning, power-adjustable heated front seating, premium interior materials, a huge infotainment screen with navigation capability, Lexus Enform connectivity, LED lighting, and one of the quietest cabins in the segment. Lexus designed these cars to feel solid and expensive even years later, and you can still feel that immediately when you close the doors.
This one adds the exact options we would want. The intuitive park assist makes parking dramatically easier and gives extra confidence in tighter spaces. The backup camera and blind spot monitor pair perfectly with it and make this car feel much newer than many luxury sedans from this era. Heated and ventilated front seats are one of those options that people get used to quickly and never want to go back from.
The heated leather steering wheel with the gray trim is another one of those small luxury details Lexus does incredibly well. On colder mornings it becomes one of those features you use constantly and appreciate every single day. Combined with the incredibly soft leather seating and the quiet cabin, this GS feels expensive in a way that many newer cars still struggle to match.
The one-touch power trunk is something people underestimate until they live with it. Grocery runs, luggage, golf clubs, airport pickups, daily errands, it just makes ownership easier. Add the moonroof into the mix and the cabin becomes even brighter and more open.
And then there is the rear lip spoiler, which is one of those subtle details that changes the whole personality of the car. It gives the rear end a cleaner, sportier profile without taking away from the luxury feel. Lexus did a phenomenal job balancing sporty styling with executive luxury on the GS platform.
When you put everything together, pearl white exterior, Chateau interior, Newport Beach California ownership, no accidents, heated and cooled seats, intuitive park assist, navigation, moonroof, legendary 3.5 liter V6 reliability, and exceptional condition throughout, this 2016 Lexus GS 350 stands out as one of the nicest luxury sport sedans on the market. This is old-school Lexus done exactly right with the right colors, the right engine, and the right history.
